First Annual Earth Day Trade Show for coin laundry owners was held last Thursday, April 22nd, 2010 at our corporate office in Fenton, MO. Thanks to all who attended for making our first year a very successful show!
The day started out with breakfast consisting of: muffins, danishes, coffee, and orange juice. Ryan Carlson, Director of Marketing at WashCard Systems was the first seminar speaker. He demonstrated a wireless credit card payment system that is powered by WiFi wireless. Ryan explained the benefits of having a washcard system installed to be able to use credit card/debit card as payment, and still have the option for coin payment. BBQ buffet lunch consisted of: beef brisket, pulled pork, chicken, baked beans, chips, cookies, banana pudding, sweet tea, soda and bottled water. Everything was delicious!
The second seminar speaker was Michael Sokolowski, Executive Vice President at Coin Laundry Association (CLA). He explained how energy use and becoming eco-friendly go hand in hand. Also teaching attendees how "going green" can save you money and bring in more customers.
Our vendor booths included: Maytag Commercial Laundry, Pellerin Milnor Corporation, US Capital, Milnor Capital, American Dryer Corporation, WashCard Systems, ESD Card Solutions, Standard Change-Makers, R&B Wire Products, Vend-Rite Manufacturing, Hamilton Engineering, Greenwald Industries, Highmark Manufacturing, and Caco Manufacturing.We also had several prize giveaways throughout the day.
